Western Tech offering help to Globe students who lost financial aid
Meeting from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday for those interested.
Students wondering where to turn after Globe University in Onalaska lost federal aid now have a place to turn to if they so choose.
Western Technical College will reach out with a symposium from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Lunda Center (map here).
“We’re here to help the Globe students,” WTC vice president of student development Denise Vujnovich said. “Western will bring out all our resources.”
WTC says many Globe students come asking what they can do, after losing the ability to accept financial aid after a court case.
Vujnovich acknowledges the students were put in a tough situation.
At the informational meeting students will hear about credit transfers, financial aid, admission questions and more.
“Each student is probably in a different place in their programs and we will do our best to help them complete their education,” Vujnovich said.
