Home sales blistering in Wisconsin but not La Crosse County
Nov. alone is up 19 percent vs. last year in state
The blistering pace of home sales in Wisconsin is still not being matched by places like La Crosse County.
Sales in the state are up by nearly 6 percent for the year, according to new numbers released by the Wisconsin Realtors Association.
In November alone, they’re up 19 percent vs. November of last year.
In La Crosse, however, home sales have yet to match the torrid pace of last year’s transactions; down about 2 percent for November and the year to date.
The slower pace is largely blamed on a very small number of homes available for sale in the market. That also means higher sale prices, according to the real estate group.
