Snyder was in court Thursday afternoon

Luke Snyder is in jail after Onalaska police posted his picture on Facebook, wanted for questioning for several thefts in the area.

On April 16, police investigated a theft of a checkbook that was left in a car.

The following day came report of an individual who had walked into the Onalaska High School after hours and stole a bag that had a computer and other items.

The same man was caught on surveillance attempting to forge a check at Kwik Trip, which failed and he fled with his items.

After the Facebook post, a Winona police officer gave cops Snyder’s name and photo as a suspect.

Later, police spotted the 31-year-old Snyder riding in the 600 block of 2nd Ave. Wed. afternoon, before he took off.

He was eventually arrested in a backyard, charged with four counts of theft, forgery and possession of meth.
