Winona drive-by shooting suspect will be tried
Waiters accused of killing 1, injuring another outside bar
Ricky Waiters is asking for a jury trial, on charges of killing a Winona man outside E.B.’s Bar last summer.
Waiters made the request for a trial on Friday during a hearing in Winona County court.
He is accused of killing Bob Johnson, an area musician, and wounding Sean O’Brien in the leg during a drive-by shooting last July.
The shooting occurred shortly after Waiters was told to move his car to another place while trying to park outside of E.B.’s.
No trial date has been set.
