People across U.S. falling for phishing scam targeting Google accounts

Scam appears to come from a legitimate account

A google docs email phishing attack is making its way throughout the country, and many people are falling for it, giving random users complete access to your google accounts. 

The e-mail shows up in the subject heading that one of your e-mail contacts shared a google doc with you. 

You are asked to give them access to your account. 

Industry experts say the the scam will send the same message to all of your contacts, and the reasoning behind the attack is not known.

If you got and clicked on that Google Docs email: There is a possibility there is a malicious app now authorized with your google account. The following link will take you to your google account . Make sure Google Docs doesn’t have permission if you clicked that link earlier.
