Show, based in Boston, been on air 21 years.

It’s been on public radio for 21 years and recorded two episodes in La Crosse on Sunday.

The quiz show Says You was at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where host Gregg Porter spoke to the student union before taping two episodes. Those shows will air across the U.S., the first of which will happen at 11 a.m. May 13.

The tapings usually run longer than their hour-long time period, so some things are cut out. The program had sort of an ‘Oscar-envelope’ moment at U-W-L, as producers scrambled to quickly write musical clues to be performed live by the popular band Harmonious Wail, when the musicians had not been given the planned clues ahead of time.

The show is based in Boston but travels around the country throughout the year.

Regular panelist Barry Nolan said the appeal of the show is in both the quiz questions and the humorous banter among members of the panel.

The show was at UW-L to help Wisconsin Public Radio celebrate its first 100 years on the air.
