Trial set for 73-year-old facing child porn charges

French Island man reportedly had hundreds of pornographic images on computer.

A December trial has been scheduled for a 73-year-old French Island man charged with 10 counts of possessing child porn.

David Edwin Hansen is accused of keeping graphic pictures of young girls on a computer.

A tip led sheriff’s officers to Hansen’s town of Campbell home, where they reportedly found hundreds of pornographic images on his kitchen computer.  

He’s not allowed to have contact with children under 18 and cannot operate electronic devices.

Hansen was arrested in March. Tuesday, he was released from jail on a signature bond. He was the oldest prisoner at the La Crosse County jail for a few weeks.
