Search is over for new fire chief of La Crosse
City’s police and fire commission meet Tuesday to confirm selection.
The final selection has been made in the search for a new La Crosse fire chief.
The city’s police and fire commission meet Tuesday morning to confirm the selection of Ken Gilliam as the next head of the city’s fire and inspections departments.
Gilliam is the deputy fire chief in St. Paul and also serves as director of rescue and training at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College.
If confirmed, Gilliam will replace Gregg Cleveland, who retires at the end of June after 11 years as chief.
