14 OWIs between two people from pair of arrests in Jackson County

One is accused of eighth OWI, while other has six.

They have 14 OWIs between them.

Vern White Eagle, 41, was arrested for potentially his eighth OWI by Jackson County deputies over the weekend.

The sheriff’s office was called about a car full of people who had been smoking pot, including the Black River Falls, Wis., man. White Eagle was behind the wheel and arrested outside a Burger King.

He has several past charges from many Wisconsin counties.  

Also arrested in the county was Shanna Rae Harrison, who is accused of her sixth drunk driving charge.

She was stopped on an arrest warrant, after allegedly being involved in a loud argument in an apartment.
