Vinehout hasn’t declared a run for governor … yet
Alma state senator talked keys to winning for Dems.
She’s not yet a candidate for governor in Wisconsin but Alma state Senator Kathleen Vinehout is talking about a run.
She’s been reasoning out why Democrats, like herself, haven’t been able to win a governor’s race against Scott Walker.
“We haven’t had the right candidate, we haven’t had the right campaign, we haven’t had the right message,” Vinehout said during a Wisconsin Eye network interview at the Democratic state convention this past weekend.
Vinehout’s key to winning back the governor’s mansion in 2018 is pretty simple.
We need enthusiastic, Democratic-leaning voters to get engaged,” she said. “We haven’t had a super exciting Democratic candidate for governor in a really long time.”
According to Democratic party leadership, Vinehout should be considered one of the favorite candidates.
