Gronik highest profile Dem so far to challenge Scott Walker.

He doesn’t call himself a politician. No, Andy Gronik would describe himself as a business guy.

The Milwaukee businessman is the highest profile Democrat to, so far, committed to a run for governor in Wisconsin

“I’m a business man with progressive values who believes that treating people fairly and with equity is how you build anything successful,” he said.

He feels like those ideals and his 35 years in business will help him immensely in office.

“It enables me to have a conversation with businesses of all types throughout our state,” Gronik said. “And how to energize them, retain them, how to get people thinking about entrepreneurialism again and growing those entities. I have a very unique skillset.

As for that skillset:

“The ability to actually articulate a plan, a simple plan to move forward,” Gronik said. “Something that builds on the strength of our state. To be able to execute our plan and measure success, that’s what I’ve done for 35 years.”

Gronki made his announcement to run for governor last week. Alma state senator Kathleen Vinehout also appears to be leaning towards a run.

Mike McCabe is better known and is NOT a business man. We don’t need a businessman in madison or in the White House. We need some who fights corruption, and who can recognize conflicts of interest.
