Suspect in internet sex sting found dead in La Crosse
Medical examiner looking into death of former youth hockey coach
Local law enforcement agencies confirm that a La Crosse man recently facing criminal charges has died.
Robert Mattingley reportedly died in La Crosse on Tuesday, a day after appearing in court on new charges.
The county medical examiner is investigating the cause of death.
Mattingley was arrested a few weeks ago on charges of child enticement, as part of an internet sex sting operation.
Mattingley, a former president of River City Youth Hockey, was jailed again last weekend, on firearm and false imprisonment charges related to an alleged threat against his wife two years ago.
