Still illegal to sell home baked goods in Wisconsin
Wisconsin one of only two states outlawing sale of home baked goods.
While a judge earlier this year seemed to clear the way for home bakers to sell their goods in Wisconsin, apparently that’s still illegal.
Wisconsin has been one of only two states to outlaw selling home baked goods.
That prohibition was successfully challenged when a Lafayette County judge in May ruled in favor of three farmers.
Now, however, the state says the ruling does not apply to the rest of Wisconsin – just to the stuff marketed by those farmers.
Attorneys for the farmers says the state’s stance is unconstitutional.
