American Queen cancels two stops to Riverside Park

La Crosse has 22 visits still on the schedule through Oct. 

Fans of the big riverboats that travel the Mississippi River will have to wait a few more days to see one in La Crosse this season.

La Crosse’s convention bureau says that because of “unpredictable river conditions,” the American Queen has had to cancel two stops at Riverside Park, planned for Saturday and August 4.

However, a stop by the paddlewheeler is now planned for August 5.

Five different cruise boats are scheduled to stop in La Crosse between now and the end of October, including new ones called the American Duchess and the Louisiane.

At this time, 22 visits to La Crosse are scheduled through late October by five big cruise boats.
