Woman arrested in La Crosse has been running from authorities in Idaho

A woman living in La Crosse allegedly has been on the run from police in Idaho for more than a year. 

Tammy Jones was supposed to appear in an Idaho drug court in May of 2016.

Tuesday, Jones was arrested at the Super 8 on Rose St., after employees smelled marijuana coming from one room.

The 52-year-old is charged in La Crosse County with possessing pot, meth and illegal prescription drugs. Jones has not agreed to be sent back to Idaho.

“She’s continuing to exhibit the same behaviors here in La Crosse,” prosecutor Justine Suleski said in La Crosse County court on Wed., adding she had 18.4 grams of meth and 6.9 grams of THC on her when arrested.

Jones has been living at a north La Crosse house.
