School ranked No. 3 among public universities in midwest
Another No. 1-ranking for the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
For the 17th consecutive year UW-L is the best of the Best Regional Universities in Wisconsin, according to the U.S. & World News.
UW-La Crosse ranked No. 4 among regional public universities in the midwest, just ahead of UW-Eau Claire. UW-Stevens Point came in tied for ninth, while UW-Stout was 15th.
“We don’t really go out and seek these rankings or do anything differently to try and advance in them,” Gow said. “Clearly, the work our people are doing maintains a very high place in the rankings.”
Gow added that he is overwhelmed at the number of surveys that have UW-L near the top for several different categories.
Among the best regional universities in the Midwest, UW-L ranked 33rd. Viterbo University ranked 115th out of 173 schools.
Nationally, UW-Madison came in 46th, in a six-way tie. Among top public schools nationally, the Badgers ranked 12th.
