McCabe brings “blue jean” campaign to La Crosse
Former head of Wisconsin Democracy Campaign speaks to rally at Concordia
Political activist Mike McCabe is reaching out to progressive voters, as he hopes to unseat Republican Governor Scott Walker.
McCabe told an audience at La Crosse’s Concordia Ballroom last night that if elected, he won’t live in the governor’s mansion, because he doesn’t believe in having a mansion just because you’re elected to a job.
The McCabe campaign has attracted supporters like La Crosse doctor Mark Neumann, who says his politics developed in the 60’s and 70’s.
Neumann says McCabe would be a leader for Wisconsin “to take back governance from big money.”
McCabe says in order to Democrats to win the governor’s office, they have to talk about what Wisconsin can become, and not make the entire campaign about Walker.
