La Crosse and Shelby announce boundary deal
Parts of Shelby could be annexed 15 years after deal is approved
La Crosse has reached a tentative agreement with one of its neighbors, on boundaries and services.
The city has a settlement with the town of Shelby, which is scheduled to be voted on by the leaders of each community early next year.
Some land in Shelby is scheduled to be annexed to La Crosse within 15 years, under the agreement.
The communities would increase their collaboration on police and fire services.
Details of the proposed agreement will be discussed at a public meeting on November 7th.
