Wilton, Wis., man suspected of several sex-related offenses
A sex crime suspect has been released from the La Crosse County jail on a $2,500 signature bond until his next court hearing.
James Gnewikow of Wilton, Wis., is suspected of several sex-related offenses involving children.
Formal charges are expected to be filed next week.
He is charged with attempted sexual assault of a child, ‘sex-ploitation’ of a child and using a computer to arrange a sex crime.
Judge Ramona Gonzalez released Gnewikow on bond Tuesday and ordered him to have no contact with unrelated minors and no contact with devices that connect to the internet.
The suspect does not have any previous arrests for sex crimes in Wisconsin, according to on-line court records.
