Neillsvilel man now facing 5th OWI

He made his mark — literally — leaving a Kwik Trip in La Crosse and now faces his fifth OWI.

Police were tipped off to a drunk guy at the gas station on George St., because he urinated in the candy aisle before leaving in his Chevy Trailblazer. James Blackdeer was pulled over in a Trailblazer a little while later on State Rd. He told La Crosse police he had three or four beers at a bar, though he couldn’t remember which bar.

Officers noticed Neillsville, Wis., man was unsteady on his feet. The 36-year-old refused some sobriety tests. Police stopped others for safety. Blackdeer ended up blowing a .17.

A search of his car found four empty cans of Budweiser, missing from a 12-pack in his truck.
