Another rear-ending of an Amish horse and buggy in the area.  This time in Vernon county.

Vernon County Sheriff’s department says the buggy was rear-ended in the Town of Franklin on Highway 27 about 5:00 Wednesday evening.

A truck driven by 59-year-old Michael Welsh from Readstown hit the buggy from behind.  Apparently, Welsh didn’t see the buggy.  The sheriff describes the truck as being embedded in the rear of the buggy.

Roseanna Welsh, 52, was a passenger in the truck and taken from crash scene by ambulance for unspecified injuries.

Michael Welsh and the buggy driver, 26-year-old Daniel Glick, were not injured.

This comes a week after a tanker truck driver rear-ended an amish horse and buggy in Monroe county.  The horse in that crash to be put down.

Driver of the Freightliner tanker, 29-year-old Jacob Ketelsen, faces charges in that crash for hit and run.

Ketelsen told cops he didn’t stop after the crash because he thought he hit a deer.
