Skyrockers midnight show cancelled tonight, but 6 p.m show goes on

The 6 p.m. show will be a bit longer tonight

Continued frigid weather has forced the La Crosse Skyrockers to cancel their traditional midnight fireworks show for Sunday night.

Instead, the 6 p.m. display will be made a little longer.

Up until Saturday, the Skyrockers had still planned to do both shows atop Grandad Bluff.

The Skyrockers cancelled their midnight show in 2006 because of snow and foggy conditions, but rescheduled it for the following night at 6 p.m.

 

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
