LA CRESCENT, Minn. — The project to renovate the La Crescent Legion Hall now includes a specific hotel nearby.

The goal is to have a Best Western Plus open by May 1, 2019 and be part of a community meeting center near Hwy. 61.

“The hotel group needs 10 months to a year to build and fix it out all out to get ready for opening,” Don Hill, La Crescent treasurer of the community hall project, said.

The $3 million project was announced late last summer. The hotel proposal is for 60 rooms, plus a number of suites to go with an indoor pool, whirlpool, fitness room, outdoor tennis courts and business center.
