Wisconsin in Top 10 for states that people leave
Apparently, that publically funded ad campaign to attract workers to Wisconsin will come just in time.
According to the latest United Van Lines’ 41st Annual National Movers study, Wisconsin has moved into the Top 10 for states people move out of.
The study tracks migration habits of Americans. Of the states that have the largest level of outmigration, Wisconsin winds up 10th. Illinois is No. 1.
People are also leaving New Jersey, New York and Kentucky in big numbers.
Vermont has the highest level of those moving in versus leaving. Oregon, Washington and Colorado are also on top of that list.
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker has asked the legislature to approve nearly $7 million to attract workers to the state in a national ad campaign.
