13-year-old dies in UTV rollover; 11-year-old taken to hospital

UTICA, Minn. — The 13-year-old driver of a utility vehicle has been killed in a rollover accident Wed. night near Utica.

The Winona County sheriff’s office said the Polaris Ranger UTV hit a patch of ice, then a snowdrift and went into a ditch.

The boy driving was pinned beneath the UTV and died at the scene. An 11-year-old boy who was also riding along was taken to a hospital.

The two were riding after dark on a rural road.
