Vote today on long awaited development plans for Navy Reserve center in La Crosse
A city committee vote will take place today on a development agreement for new homes on the long vacant site of the old Navy Reserve center in La Crosse.
The plans are for 10 homes in a cluster on the 1.5-acre space. Not big homes. Three bedrooms. Two car garages.
They would be a little more than 800 square feet and the little neighborhood would have a common green space.
The agreement says the homes have to have a minimum value of $150,000.
Construction on the first house would begin by June 1. All 10 would be complete in 2022.
The site, on Green Bay St., has not been used since the Navy abandoned it in 2007.
