Rebranded Gander Outdoors now open with grand opening Saturday
With a rebranded name, or half the name anyway, the former Gander Mountain in Onalaska has reopened five months after it closed.
Now called Gander Outdoors, the store on Crossing Meadows Dr. will hold a grand opening celebration Saturday.
That event will include activities for children (paint a lure 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., build a duck call 1-3 p.m.). Customers can also enter to win gift cards and will be treated with free coffee and pastries.
Gander Outdoors announced its new store will employ 55 full- and part-timers. The original Gander Mountain laid off 32 employees in September.
The Onalaska store is one of 11 planned in Wisconsin.
