Dr. Tim Johnson and Joe Kruse have been the top administrators for Mayo facilities in southwest Wisconsin.

Johnson, who was with Mayo in La Crosse eight years, leaves the regional vice president for southwest Wisconsin in September to a full-time practice as a doctor of muscle and skeletal specialties.

Kruse plans to retire at the end of the year as the regional administration chairman for Mayo Clinic Health System in the southwest Wisconsin region to spend more time in La Crosse with family and pursue outside interests. As a past Festmaster, Kruse, who was with Mayo 34 years, will remain active with Oktoberfest.

Their announced departures leave lots of time for Mayo to find successors, who can transition with the two executives. A nationwide search will be conducted.
