3 suspects in La Crosse drug arrest get five-figure cash bond

A repeat drug suspect appearing Friday in La Crosse County court apparently wasn’t prepared to have his bond set at $50,000 cash.

Deante House objected when a court commissioner set bond for him, on pending charges of possessing drugs and running a drug trafficking operation.

House said he wanted to represent himself and claimed the drug arrest was a “misunderstanding.”

A lower cash bond of $10,000 was set for House’s two co-defendants, Kindred Foster and Austin Bonner.

They’ll all be charged on Monday for allegedly possessing large amounts of drugs, along with cash and a gun, at a south La Crosse house.
