A “big misunderstanding” about an accused drug dealer just got a whole lot bigger.

Deante House, 32, told a judge last week in La Crosse court that his arrest during a drug bust on the south side was a “big misunderstanding.”

Cops found $11,000 worth of meth, crack, heroin and other drugs at a place on the south side along with a gun and $4,700 in cash. They arrested House and two other men.

Since then, after a search of House’s car and his home in Onalaska, cops turned up another pile of 167.2 g of meth, 97.6 of cocaine and $25,792 in cash.

House now faces additional drug dealing charges.  He was held over the weekend on a $50,000 cash bond.

In a statement after the latest charges, police chief Ron Tischer said, “Individuals like this have a negative impact on the quality of life for the whole area. By arresting this individual we have hopefully made La Crosse, Onalaska and the community as a whole safer.”

House is expected back in court Monday.
