Onalaska provides clarification on Omni Center rules in wake of controversial cancellation
Some clarification coming on an event cancelled at the Onalaska Omni Center last Friday.
The Omni Center became a focus of potential conflict when the anti-Muslim group, Understanding the Threat, booked the center for a presentation on Friday and then cancelled at essentially the last minute. Apparently due to an insurance issue.
In response to a WIZMnews.com request for records related to that, Onalaska city administrator Eric Rindfleisch says the problem was not that organizers didn’t have the million dollar policy needed to rent the Center, it’s that they didn’t have a certificate required to prove it.
Rindfleisch says groups who rent the center have to produce a certificate of liability insurance showing the city as an additionally insured. A requirement on the contract for any event booked at the center.
Rindfleisch tells us the city never asked for additional insurance to hold the event, contrary to what the group had indicated after the cancellation.
WIZMnews.com has also confirmed that the million dollar policy is a part of every contract signed to hold events at the Omni Center, the vast majority of which are ice-related.

Ellison, when he was called out for this, denies much connection with racist, Homophobe, Anti Semitic Louis Farrakhan. Ellisons claims recieved “4 Pinnochios” when he was fact checked. Americans, do your own research, listen to radio like Worldview.weekend.com, news at Daily Caller, and not the main stream. Things are changing and while we must love our neighbor we must also have a watchful eye on our freedom for all. We need to speak kindly, love (all) our neighbors and direct people to facts. A friend of mine, from Egypt, said to me that many of the Muslim people, especially in Muslim countries our victim #1 of actions related to Islam, these attackers often quote the Islamic Holy book, The Qu’ran. The Islamic ideology of ISIS,Hamas, Muslim Brotherhood, etc. has resulted in many Muslims being driven out of thier land as these terrorist organizations take over. Followers of these ideologies, it has been reported as throwing homosexuals off of rooftops and stoning them before they hit the ground. For now, this is only happening in the Mideast countries as far as I know. I pray that this does not happen here. Disgusting and horrific. Majority of Muslims do not agree with acting out terrorist ideology. This is why my heart is always heavy when I hear of another extremist attack, so many innocents hurt or worse by people with bad ideas and want harm on people, regardless of race or religion or belief system. Wouldn’t you like to be able to know who has the bad ideas ? We must not reduce ourselves to empty and factless rhetoric by calling unwelcome views “hate speech” .We do need to have conversations about identifying any group that has bad ideas for America and its citizens.
