Mid West Music Fest returns to La Crosse this weekend

Third year of La Crosse festival kicks off Friday

The weather still may be a bit wintry in La Crosse for this weekend, but a sign of springtime occurs Friday and Saturday, as the Mid West Music Fest brings people downtown. 

MWMF will feature a wide variety of musical talent at several locations over the two days of the event. 

While some performers will travel halfway across the country to La Crosse, Cavalier Theater owner Jason La Course says plenty of local favorites will be onstage as well, including TUGG and Them Coulee Boys. 
 
More than a thousand ticket buyers are expected to check out the musical acts in La Crosse. 

This weekend is the first part of the music fest, with the second part in Winona, April 27-28.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
