Unknown if Foxconn informational sessions are cancelled today in BRF, La Crosse
It’s not yet clear whether an informational session for businesses wanting to work with Foxconn will still be held today in La Crosse.
That meeting was scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce.
It was one of three sessions that were announced last week to be held in western Wisconsin.
The meeting set to be held Monday in Eau Claire was postponed due to the big spring snow storm. Another was scheduled for Black River Falls at 9:30 a.m. today.
ORIGINAL STORY: La Crosse is among the places chosen for a special presentation of opportunities available for working the new Foxconn site in Wisconsin.
The info sessions are meant for those construction-related firms that want to bid on work for the first phase of construction at Foxconn’s Industrial Construction Work in Wisconn Valley Science & Technology Park in eastern Wisconsin.
The entire $10-billion project is meant to eventually encompass 1,000 acres.
The first phase of construction is anticipated to be site work and other preparation.
Actual building construction work is anticipated to start late this year or early next year.
Businesses interested in doing Foxconn work can join info sessions at Black River Falls or La Crosse on Tuesday.
