Logistics Health was working on Building #2, 11 years ago

In 2007, Logistics was making plans for a second office building, to the south of the building that had recently replaced Piggy’s Restaurant along Front Street.  The proposed ‘Riverside Center Two’ would be six stories tall, and cost $12 million.  The company was expected to start construction that summer.

During April of ’07, Sanford Hall at UW-L had to be evacuated for three hours, because of a bomb threat.  The threat was written in a bathroom inside that dorm near the football stadium.  The incident at Sanford happened within days of a mass shooting at Virginia Tech.

Gas prices were climbing close to $3 a gallon.  The pump price in La Crosse was $2.84, compared to $2.79 in La Crescent, but still below the national average of $2.87.  That was 11 years ago, 2007, yesterday in La Crosse.
