21-year-old La Crosse man reaches agreement in gunfire case
A year after a gun was fired at a house on State Street in La Crosse, a few men are still going through the court system in the case. 
One La Crosse man has now reached a diversion agreement, rather than going to trial.
Johnathan Berlanga was one of four men charged last year for allegedly trying to shoot Monica Thompson outside her mother’s home on State Street.
The men were involved in a social media feud with Thompson.
The 21-year-old Berlanga pleads guilty to obstructing officers, but major charges including attempted murder have been dismissed through a diversion agreement.
Berlanga had been scheduled for a May trial with co-defendant Devon Yang, whose trial begins May 15.
A third defendant, Ramon Washington, pled to a lesser charge in February and will be sentenced in June.
Charges were dismissed against a fourth suspect.
