Final cost of La Crosse Center could vary widely based on how it’s decorated
Depending on how the drapes hang, the final price of the La Crosse Center renovations could vary widely.
Center director Art Fahey on WIZM with Mike Hayes on Monday morning, said picking different amenities for the inside of the center can swing the price significantly.
“You change out seats in the arena, just as an example, you’re flirting with a million bucks real quick,” Fahey said. “The size of venue that we’ve got it’s sometimes surprising the prices that go along with it.”
The most recent public skepticism about the final form of the estimated $49 million renovation of the Center has come in reaction to released drawings of the exterior of the building.
Planners, however, say that design could change significantly, such as the color of the building and whether it would hang over Riverside Park.
