Slow, no wake rules still in effect for La Crosse County on Mississippi River
The Mississippi River in La Crosse is forecast to crest at 12.5 feet Thursday — a half foot above flood stage.
Slow, no wake rules for boaters have been in effect for the past few days on the river. Slow, no wake restrictions go into effect in La Crosse County along all developed shoreline areas when the river hits 10 feet, which it did last Thursday morning.
The river is expected to hit the 12-foot mark this morning, though very minor actual flooding is expected in the area.
