No need to worry about being able to afford a cab this Memorial Day weekend.

AAA is offering a safe ride program for both non-members and members.

“We’ll give you a free ride home and take your car home for you, so you’re not endangering yourself and others on the road,” Wisconsin AAA’s Nick Jarmusz said.

The program is being offered in Wisconsin and Iowa. Not Minnesota. For a full list of states click here.

The safe rides begin today and ends at 6 a.m. Tuesday. The number to call: 855-2-TOW-2-GO.

The service apparently allows two people to ride, and normally doesn’t go more than 10 miles, though that’s not indicated on the link provided above.

Over 800,000 people in Wisconsin are expected to travel at least 50 miles this weekend.Gas is $.50 higher per gallon this year as compared to last Memorial Day weekend.
