A Fillmore County deputy was stranded in the Highway 30 area over the weekend, and had to move to higher ground to escape the flooding.

The three-state area was soaked by storms that moved through Saturday night, leaving nearly 7 inches of rain in some locations.

Spring Valley, Minn., received 6.6 inches in the storm and a total of 8.2 inches over the three-day period. Fennimore, Wis., had slightly less.

Some roads in southwest Wisconsin and southeastern Minnesota were either washed out or covered with water.

La Crosse received 1.2 inches at the airport on Saturday.
