Missing person search leads to body at Grandad Bluff

Person reported missing Saturday, body found Sunday

A missing person report Saturday in La Crosse led to a search in the bluffs. That search ended Sunday morning with the discovery of a body. 

Police and the La Crosse Fire Department found the person shortly after Sunday’s search began around 8:30 a.m. 

The first call to the fire department’s Urban Search and Rescue Team was made around 6:30 p.m. Saturday. 

The search was called off around sunset and resumed early Sunday.

Family members are being notified about the death.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area.
