Gundersen purchasing Wettstein’s building, moving dental clinic downtown
The Wettstein building in downtown La Crosse will be bought by Gundersen Health System.
The clinic plans to put a dental specialty office inside the Wettstein’s store which will close later this summer.
The remodeling of Wettstein’s would give Gundersen a downtown medical facility across the street from the Mayo Clinic facilities at Belle Square on 3rd Street.
Good fit for the health system, said Gundersen Scott Rathgaber, MD. “This location will allow our patients better access to our dental services and allow us to continue to grow our dental specialties practice.”
Gundersen hopes to have that new dental clinic open in April.
Dan Wettstein just last week announced he was liquidating and closing his store by the end of August.
