It’s returning to its roots.

Gundersen Health System in La Crosse has announced it will be purchasing part of the Wettstein’s building at the corner of 3rd and State streets in downtown La Crosse.

That’s where it will open a dental clinic in April 2019.

“These kind of properties don’t come up very often in downtown,” Gundersen CEO Scott Rathgaber said. “We feel like we’re going, a little bit, full circle because Dr. Gundersen started his practice downtown.”

The clinic offers services ranging from fixing crooked teeth and gum disease to working on a solution for missing or decaying teeth.

In a statement, Wettstein’s said they knows they are leaving the building and downtown in good hands.
