Driver in fatal accident 2 years ago dies in new accident
In the space of three years, an Onalaska area man was involved in two deadly accidents involving recreational vehicles.
Two years ago, he was the driver in a snowmobile accident, which killed a passenger of his.
Now, 31-year-old John Marshall has died himself in another crash of a recreational vehicle. Marshall was killed over the weekend when his ATV crashed in Sawyer County.
His body was found hours after the accident. He was not wearing a helmet.
Early in 2016, Marshall was operating a snowmobile in Brice Prairie when his passenger, Miranda Roellich, was hit in the head by a tree branch. Roellich died two weeks later.
Marshall was found to be driving drunk. He pled guilty to a misdemeanor charge and paid a fine.
It’s not known yet if alcohol was involved in the crash over the weekend.
