La Crosse chamber weighs in on county advisory referendums
The La Crosse Chamber of Commerce is letting know the county board its opinion when it comes to possible referendums regarding marijuana and road funding.
In regards to the road funding question, a letter given to county board members said it would like a variety of options given to voters, and feels like there is enough funding available already.
The chamber also weighed in on the marijuana question. It said the issue is not a local priority and adds the biggest issue for employers in the downtown area are hiring people who can take a drug test.
Both issues were discussed at Thursday’s county board meeting.
