Man tried to abduct 9-year-old near park in La Farge
A potential child abduction is under investigation from the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office.
Police got the call around 8:15 p.m. Friday about an attempted abduction in LaFarge.
A 9-year-old was grabbed from behind while walking from Bean Park at the intersection of Highland and Maple streets.
The child was able to kick the suspect and escape. The suspect is described as a caucasian male in his 20s with a thin build and dark hair. The victim said he was covering his face.
