Jackson County driver facing 7th OWI, after crashing into tree

The last time John Climer was charged with driving drunk, the Black River Falls man was put on probation for two years.

Climer could face a much harsher sentence after his latest OWI arrest in Jackson County — the seventh on his record.

The 54-year-old crashed into a tree along Highway 54 last Thursday.

Besides operating while drunk, Climer also faces charges from this accident of failing to keep his car under control and driving left of center.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area.
