Man arrested at La Crosse Salvation Army spits at police and threatens to kill officers

A disturbance at the La Crosse Salvation Army on Sunday night led to charges against a 28-year-old man for allegedly threatening law officers.

Daniel Tiedman swore at officers who responded to a fight at the 8th Street shelter.

Tiedman reportedly said ‘You’re going to die,’ to one officer, and spit at a jailer when he was being booked. The man apparently had been drinking.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk."
