Driftless Axe gets endorsement from plan commission
A proposed axe-throwing bar for downtown La Crosse received unanimous approval from the city plan commission Monday.
The Players Bar at 4th and Jay streets would be divided into two businesses, with the Driftless Axe venue occupying the northern end along Jay.
Customers would toss axes at targets inside caged areas.
The axe bar goes before a city council committee tonight Tuesday, for a vote that would send the plan to the full council.
