La Crosse man arrested for weekend shooting

A 24-year-old La Crosse man is being accused of firing shots this weekend in the area of 3rd and Main. 

Isaiah Stenson, Jr. is facing several criminal charges, including recklessly endangering safety, and resisting police. 

A disturbance was reported early Sunday morning, shortly after midnight, when shots were fired within a group of people that had been walking on 3rd Street. 

Two persons reporting gunshot wounds were treated at Gundersen and released. 

Stenson was traced to a car that was stopped around 2 a.m. by police.  

He appears to have no criminal record in Wisconsin, according to on-line files.
