Soglin portrays Gov. Walker as puppet in 1st campaign ad
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Madison Mayor Paul Soglin portrays Republican Gov. Scott Walker as a cartoon puppet in Soglin’s first TV ad of the campaign.
The 30-second ad shows President Donald Trump pulling Walker’s strings from the White House, and says Trump “ordered Walker to send billions of our money to Foxconn,” the Taiwanese electronics giant building a flat-screen plant in southeastern Wisconsin.

Soglin’s ad says Walker’s “neglect shatters roads and schools,” and shows the governor pouring “poison” into a stream and toppling the Abraham Lincoln statue at University of Wisconsin-Madison.
The ad, to air statewide, ends with Soglin cutting the puppet Walker’s strings.
A spokesman for the Wisconsin Republican Party called the ad “desperate.”
